Film and Gallery Talk: Toshiko Takaezu
Thursday, July 31, 2008
108 Kresge Art Center and Kresge Art Museum, 7:00 p.m.

In Japan, people who spend their lives making great art or doing great things are declared “Living National Treasures.” If ceramist Toshiko Takaezu lived there, she would have been so honored years ago. She has exhibited worldwide, and her work is in numerous major museums. Artworks recently acquired by KAM have been on display throughout this summer. Watch a video about Toshiko Takaezu at 7:00 p.m. in KAC 108, followed by a gallery talk at 7:30 by local ceramist Nancy Plum. This program is presented in partnership with the Greater Lansing Potters’ Guild.
